TEAM is seeking a Project Manager to work with our group in Morristown, TN.

Position Summary

The Project Manager role is responsible for managing the process of achieving successful execution, of assigned New Product Introduction (NPI). The Project Manager leads medium to large projects. Activities include development of the integrated master schedule, tracking performance/status, implementing robust change control, tracking program financials, leading internal and customer meetings, and being the primary customer point of contact.

The Project Manager is responsible for communicating the deliverables, requirements, and overall Customer satisfaction. They ensure understanding of the requirements and deliverables, works with the functional managers to identify the required resources, and establishes ownership throughout the organization for the deliverables.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Creation and management of project plans for new opportunities that are in the formal NPI process
  • Leading project planning sessions
  • Managing project progress and adapt work as required.
  • Ensuring projects meet deadlines.
  • Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders. Primary point of contact and communication between the Company and the Customer during the NPI Process.
  • Issue/Risk management to include development and tracking/reporting of mitigation plans.
  • Responsible for documenting the project history using meeting minutes and action item documentation for all related project meetings.
  • Identify, document, and escalate any changes in project scope impacting the cost or schedule.
  • Support the development of project quotes and responsible for quoting and communicating cost/pricing of equipment and tooling to Executive Pricing Committee.
  • Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions that are in the formal New Project Introductions (NPI) process according to customer needs and objective.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of weekly/monthly/quarterly initiatives and track key project metrics.
  • Manages engineering change control processes and ensures timely and accurate completion to specifications for projects that are in the formal NPI process.
  • Works with other departments on Design Controls and Records for products with responsibility for ensuring process is complete and accurate in accordance with CFR 820 and ISO 13485.
  • Work with customers and internal departments to ensure pricing, product specifications, BOMs, design work, and work instructions are amended/updated, completed, and accurate per requirements.
  • Works with other internal departments to ensure materials, labor, part number creation/amendments, and production availability are prepared and completed for successful product launch/changes.
  • Works with customers to define requirements and expectations as defined by the appropriate regulatory requirements and standards for Medical Devices (i.e. CFR 820, 210-211, ISO 9001, 13485, etc.).
  • Adheres to and supports compliance with GMP requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Superior computer skills and ability to set up functions, enter data, and process information (Microsoft Office products; Excellent Excel skills required; previous ERP experience; MS Project)
  • Professional communication skills are essential; demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenges and needs to be addressed
  • Travel may be required
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at one time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding or experience in an FDA regulated environment – preferred.
  • BA/BS degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or relevant field, previous work experience will be considered in lieu of BA/BS.
  • 5+ years previous experience as a Project Manager or relevant role.
