Program Manager

TEAM is seeking a Program Manager to work with our group in Morristown, TN.  This position will be on-site at our Morristown, Tennessee facilities.

Your main objectives are responsibility for managing the process of achieving successful execution of assigned New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. You will lead large projects and programs focused on the strategic growth of the company. You will lead the team in execution of all aspects of the NPI Process Phases 2 through 5. Activities include development of the integrated master schedule, tracking performance/status, implementing robust change control, tracking program financials, leading internal and customer meetings, and being the primary customer point of contact.

You are responsible for communicating the deliverables, requirements, and overall Customer satisfaction. You will ensure understanding of the requirements and deliverables, works with the functional managers to identify the required resources, and establishes ownership throughout the organization for the deliverables.

You are responsible for overseeing the NPI organizational initiatives, including hiring staff, creation and tracking of departments goals, outlining development plans, and managing department budgets.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Works with other departments on Design Controls and Records for products with responsibility for ensuring process is complete and accurate in accordance with CFR 820 and ISO 13485.
  • Works with customers to define requirements and expectations as defined by the appropriate regulatory requirements and standards for Medical Devices (i.e. CFR 820, 210-211, ISO 9001, 13485, etc.)
  • Adheres to and supports compliance with GMP requirements.
  • Lead the successful execution of all assigned NPI Programs.
  • Management and execution of assigned Programs utilizing the NPI phase process and PM tools. Develops, coordinates, and enforces NPI systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Primary point of contact and communication between the Company and the Customer during the NPI Process.
  • Define the scope, requirements, and deliverables of all assigned projects. Confirm with the Customer as required.
  • Document and communicate internally.
  • Issue/Risk management to include development and tracking/reporting of mitigation plans.
  • Ensure regular, accurate and timely communication with the Customer and Program Team.
  • Provide Monthly Program Review status for assigned Programs as scheduled to Senior Management.
  • Lead regularly scheduled Customer and internal Program Team meetings.
  • Provide technical oversite to the team, steps in when needed to gap any technical need act as the escalation point for all technical issues.
  • Responsible for documenting the project history using meeting minutes and action item documentation for all related project meetings.
  • Identify, document, and escalate any changes in project scope impacting the cost or schedule.
  • Work with functional management to correct project resource issues such as performance problems or availability problems.
  • Obtain functional department commitment / buy-in to the schedule.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal/team effectiveness- ability to succinctly and accurately communicate to various levels of management and employees.
  • May represent NPI at a staff level within the site.
  • Accomplishes department objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating department activities.
  • Acts as a coach to their team.
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Develops personal growth opportunities.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, be a proactive thinker, and be results-oriented.
  • Other duties as assigned

What will you contribute?

  • Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Using Microsoft Project software tool, development of a fully Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) including all required tasks with key NPI Process milestones identified and tracked.
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize Office tools for regular communication of information and project status.
  • Professional communication skills are essential; demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in medical device or related regulated industry, understanding or experience in an FDA regulated environment – preferred.
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
  • Exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenges and needs to be addressed.
  • Travel required between facilities as needed; other travel may be requir. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision; yet strong collaboration skills are required.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at one time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Business acumen; ability to think from an overall “best for the business” perspective.
  • BA/BS degree in engineering discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
  • 5-8 years’ previous experience or relevant role.
